I grew up in rural Nova Scotia.

People still drive around with bats In their trucks that they call nigger beaters.

We also have a good amount of reserves.

Racism and hatred is alive and well.

As far as lobster licences go, that one hits close to home, especially given all my cousins are fisherman and several have lobster licences. I'd like to think they wouldn't engage In such things but when you threaten bread on the table I fully expect they would.

If your view of Canada consists of the GTA it's probably a fairly narrow view.

I was reading on the lobster stories a few weeks ago and felt preserving the lobster population should be a priority but they certainly owed the indigenous folks more favourable lobster fishing terms once the season was open again

And yes the gta is the view I've had of canada for most of the past 30 years

I wanted to do a road trip out east when the atlantic bubble dies down but it sounds like i won't be welcome around those parts eh?

He only split children from adults in cases where trafficking was suspected and guardianship couldn't be proved or when there was abuse present. As a rule families were kept together as much as possible.

Trump's policy was to split up all families, because....? I'm still wondering the rationale. It was a very hard stance though.

I had these same criticisms but then i researched a little and became more educated in the matter.

He split up families because Stephen Miller wanted it done. There wasn't really any rationale beyond that.

No, you would. Tourists towns do just fine. People love Lunenburg, Mahone Bay, Halifax is very liberal, Cabot trail. It's just poor rural towns that have no tourism or other traffic of people that have different world views that haven't changed. These towns where you build your house next to your parents and never leave, world views are narrow and people are so unwilling go change.

Never let eyes on you and some bullshit snickering from people stop you from seeing all of Canada. It's too nice and you can forget about them the next day.

You will find Syrian people in the weirdest places. Refugees, all extremely productive members of society. People immediately default to they're taking our jobs, then if they're not working they default to they're absorbing social welfare.

The lobster fiasco would be less pathetic if it weren't for the fact that the number of lobster cage the tribe puts down is in the three digits meanwhile the commercial industry is in the 6 digits. I'm sure the tribe is going to remove all the lobster from the sea. As a matter of fact, I'm sure Indigenous tribes around the Atlantic were responsible for all the shortages way back when too

RCMP not even doing anything because literally all the officers probably are brothers of the 200~ish men who went to burn and threaten is truly the cherry on top.

Crazy there are blacks in Canada. I just think white guys and some speak french.

Lots of black people from Haiti and African ex-french colonies come to Quebec because they speak french.

Schrodinger's immigrants, simultaneously taking all the welfare and being generally lazy but also stealing your jobs. Economic anxiety arguments work every time with the less educated working class.
