I lived in Joplin for a year. It was pretty interesting. You could tell if you were on a road that got taken out by the tornado because it was smooth as butter. Then you would cross the street and suddenly the street was 50 years old. The neighborhoods were the same way. Lots of pretty new houses, then cross the street and the houses were old as dirt.
