But one correction - the straight ticketers ranting here can only dream of 60k

There's nothing wrong with being average. They make the world go 'round.

Being a social justice parasite though...

Right?

60k is actually not a bad salary but it is a low aspiration. I want to be making a million dollars a year by the time I'm 30.

I agree. Somebody has to do those jobs. Still though working a meaningless parasitic job in HR or a bloated academic position provides no benefit for society. A negative really. It offends me that they look down on people who dredge sewers, heave and dispose of trash, and pick tomatoes. At least those blue collar guys are making society and the earth better with their honest living.

That's quite a lofty goal.

You don't have to answer and it's perfectly fine if you don't, but how old are you and how much do you make right now?

For me:
Age: 23
Salary: -$32,000/year

I'm 25 and basically an self employed full time student. I own a couple small business ventures and have investments in various partnerships that net me enough money to drink and pay rent. Im probably poverty line but beholden to no man. By 30 I hope to have one of my startup ideas blow up.

I used to make 40k/yr at a factory but left since its a waste of life.

More like freelance marketer. I've been busting ass for months and am pretty fucking stoked to see some income rolling in.

If weed ever gets legal I'm opening a dispensary. There's a lot of money there.

Obviously there are so many different factors and issues to consider when choosing a candidate or party, but if you want to see weed legalized, Democrats are probably the better bet.

I don't see either party adopting it into their platform on any necessarily established principle. Both parties take money from the pharma lobby. They're complicit across the board.

The GOP is going to make sweeping changes in the next decade, change and instability is good, so my money is on them to make it either legal nationwide or sympathetic enough that the change is possible. A populist shift is increasingly going to demand it. If libertarians didn't have aspergers it would a been legal already.

Its pretty dispassionate work but every needs a side hustle for real. I've put in about a thousand hours this last year on my side hustles. I'm studying to be an engineer. Third year.
