Big fan of the talent and work ethic of the Williams sisters
This looked bad for multiple reasons. Telling him he will never be on the court with her again is hard to defend.
Still a fan, hopefully it's a bit of a reality check although she may end up getting more praise and the narrative shifted away from personal responsibility for her words.
I always knew she had an ugly side, but I was still a big fan of her and just figured it is part of the deal when you consider how much passion she plays with. But I lost a lot of respect for her yesterday. Everyone has their ugly moments, but she has done this type of thing before.
I hope she apologizes to Osaka. Serena's act took away from her accomplishment, and Osaka simply outplayed her.
Anyways, to keep it politically relevant, I shared it because it's an embarrassing reminder of how the victim card has been often misused in recent years. Among many other things, we are seeing the backlash to that now in our politics.
