Your 'there would be no clean water or food' shtick is tired and false.

I stopped reading when it suggested a negative was that phone lines are ugly and cottages would look better with solar panels. Kind of going out of its way to understand when this happened. This article is pretty blatantly dishonest in the criticisms. Oh, it's not economic? No shit. But it needs to happen in a first world country. Not all value can be measured in dollars.

That was but one note in a long list of quotes pointing out numerous flaws.

It "needs" to happen in a very uneconomic manner why exactly? Because it makes you feel better?
The government should actively do bad things and harm our standard of living to greatly subsidize people in rural areas and encourage others to move there? When alternatives could instead be developed, and people can react to economic signals to improve the situation efficiently?

Instead of holding hands and singing the praises of govt like you children, I brought up real consequences and negatives those policies brought about.
Somehow these are "blatantly dishonest" for no apparent reason other than you don't like what I have brought to the table when ignorant bliss and arrogance made you feel so much better about your position when it was uncontested.

Time and again you have shown no real understanding or respect for economic efficiency and misallocations of resources. Instead we get platitudes like "Not all value can be measured in dollars" and you literally laugh at economic efficiency and mock it.
