5) Thinking that you're superior and then being beaten back and outproduced by the shovel guys is a far greater embarrassment than having to pull back troops to straiten and hold a frontline waiting for reinforcements.

I care little for the passively complicit Russians that allowed Putin to make this disastrous war a reality, but I still think its a abhorent disgrace that people will still apologize for and glorify what Putin is doing at the expense of Ukrainian and Russian lives.
