I think Trump was going to win that election regardless. Doesn’t change the fact that he collided with Russia does it?

Legal challenges are a part of the system. If they find nothing (most likely outcome) and 70% still reject it in a year that will be troubling.

Although a huge chunk of D rejected 2016 and to this day accuse the president of being a russian asset so who knows if you actually need to believe in the system for it to work.

Sure, legal challenges are fine and almost all of them are getting thrown out without merit. The problem is that the vast majority of people don't CARE about the result of legal challenges. I really hope that this is just sour grapes and this will blow over in the next week or two. Otherwise, we're truly fucked.

I don't think Democrats rejected 2016 at the same rate as Trump supporters are now. There's a substantial difference between Russian interference/influence and Russian hacking to change votes.

I'm guessing the EC vote will be the end. If not I agree we may be truly fucked.

well you see some people with ‘russian’ vpns posted memes on the facebook, so that was enough proof for people like adam schiff that our election was ‘completely compromised’ in 2016

To be honest, we've been headed towards this for a long time. George W. Bush was a disaster, but as a man treated unfairly. The left overreached with Obama, which led to an even larger pushback on the right. The Democrats came to see the leftist drift of the 2000s as a permanent fixture of history, and were shell-shocked when Obama's overreach and a historically bad candidate led to Trump. The Democrats proceeded to spend 4 years travelling down the woke rabbit hole, while institutional attacks on Trump from the FBI and others led to intense paranoia among the Republican base.

Now we're at a point where both sides hate each other to a degree that would be unthinkable twenty years ago. I'm not sure anything can be done to change that. The cultural split has become far too vast, and it needs to be decided one way or the other.

People on the right don’t meltdown, cry & riot when things don’t go our way, like what we saw from the left in 2016.

They've been threatening to kill poll workers and leaders in PA for a week now. They stopped armed lunatics from storming the place. And had to deal with bomb threats. Black people get angry. White people just straight up go psycho. Such is life.
