Sure, legal challenges are fine and almost all of them are getting thrown out without merit. The problem is that the vast majority of people don't CARE about the result of legal challenges. I really hope that this is just sour grapes and this will blow over in the next week or two. Otherwise, we're truly fucked.
I don't think Democrats rejected 2016 at the same rate as Trump supporters are now. There's a substantial difference between Russian interference/influence and Russian hacking to change votes.
To be honest, we've been headed towards this for a long time. George W. Bush was a disaster, but as a man treated unfairly. The left overreached with Obama, which led to an even larger pushback on the right. The Democrats came to see the leftist drift of the 2000s as a permanent fixture of history, and were shell-shocked when Obama's overreach and a historically bad candidate led to Trump. The Democrats proceeded to spend 4 years travelling down the woke rabbit hole, while institutional attacks on Trump from the FBI and others led to intense paranoia among the Republican base.
Now we're at a point where both sides hate each other to a degree that would be unthinkable twenty years ago. I'm not sure anything can be done to change that. The cultural split has become far too vast, and it needs to be decided one way or the other.
