Most liberals these days when someone Like Bogie attempts to have an honest discussion

little fella thor got intellectual destroyed by the flat-earther (of all people) at the onset of the 2015-2016 primary season. after the election he's spent 4 years denying math and blaming 'russia' for apparently "hacking the election" while Obama was in charge of national security

his faux outrage is laughable, it's sophomoric at best (which is about his level). like when he claims he gets upset talking about LGBT rights and the plight of minorities yet he votes for candidates who were against LGBT rights and used political power to destroy minority families for decades!!!!

Thank you for admitting your hypocrisy.

For my part, no, I don't care where the information comes from. What's important is what happened.

Again: whoosh.

If the NYPost article is shown to be false, I will absolutely condemn it. So far all we've gotten is corroboration.

I am watching football, but I'll look for it afterwards.

How is that a reasonable standard? Wouldn't it be more sensible to have a standard against releasing information that is not verified?

Why not just agree that it's bad for media outlets to release unverified information? And after acknowledging that the Post did that, we could discuss the actual material?

It's like pulling teeth to get cultists to agree to standards that they have been proposing(inconsistently) the last 4 years.

They do have standards. Believe stories that make Trump's opponents look bad and reject stories that make Trump look bad.

The New York Post released an article alleging wrong-doing by Hunter, and by extension, Joe Biden. They claim to have evidence that support those allegations, and they've made clear what the evidence is (emails from Hunter's hard drive). They've released the damaging emails. The only thing left to do is validate the New York Post's reporting.

I'm not sure what you're actually suggesting. Should the NYP have sent their article in advance to other media outlets to gain preapproval? They published it because they stood behind the reporting. If true, they deserve credit. If the evidence falls apart, their credibility is what is on the line.

Bold - This is the crux of the problem. Bad information about your candidate? Trump voters say fake-news, TDS sufferers say "Russian disinfo". You are on the level of the guys who believe that Trump is some anti-deep state titan sent to save us from the global pedophile ring.

Is this supposed to be a defense? You're just repeating the fact that they released a bunch of supposedly damaging information on the Bidens that they can't verify, and received in an insanely sketchy way. Then you're telling us to praise them if if turns out to be right, criticize them if it turns out to be wrong, as if that's a reasonable standard to hold supposed news organizations to.

Why don't we just deal with the arguments made in this thread. Has anyone in here claimed this is Russian disinformation? I've seen people post legit articles that say the FBI is investigating it as so. And we should take that seriously.

I've yet to see a cultist here deal seriously with the circumstances of the way this hard drive went from Hunter Biden's hands into Giuliani's hands.

This isnt about whos right or wrong.

This is about the fact that youre a liar. I can put up with people who are honest but mistaken for literal years, and I have on this forum. But I dont waste time with people who lie to my face like you just did.

You are a dishonest actor so I wont waste my time.

If you think my position is hypocritical, post the quote and I'll respond to it.

Your posts all too often devolve into these emotional accusations that your opponent is liar, or insincere, or otherwise suffers from some moral flaw that precludes you from having to engage in a substantive debate. If you can't handle the heat, get out of the kitchen.

They say that they got the computer from Hunter Biden. If true, in what world is that not proof that the contents are Hunter Biden's? What I expect other institutions to do is to investigate and determine if that story holds up.

When the New York Times released the 1619 project, they obviously stood behind the reporting. When respected, notable historians demonstrated legitimate and significant flaws with the thesis, the NYT obviously lost credibility. It's a similar situation. This is why we have competition in journalism, if it's fake, the fake will be uncovered soon enough.

There's a lot of people on the forum who are not honest actors, but it usually depends on the issue. Goom isn't honest on almost anything he talks about, but it's usually dependent on issue. The most dishonest actors are focused around Trump and his campaign, and that's' where you fall yourself.

Trump and Biden are two issues where you cannot act honestly, and that's exemplified here where you bought a story from project veritas.

Here's the quotes specifically

Quote (bogie160 @ Sep 28 2020 11:33pm)
All the hand-wringing about "Project Veritas" aside, is anyone in the least bit surprised by this?

Quote (Thor123422 @ Sep 28 2020 11:47pm)
No, nobody is surprised that project veritas is posting another hit piece.

Quote (bogie160 @ Sep 29 2020 12:00am)
Did Project Veritas make her marry her own brother?

I remember first seeing the accusations against Epstein years ago and thinking "there's no way this can be right". I imagine there'll be plenty of shock this time around as well.

You clearly bought into it even when it was pointed out that it's from project veritas.
