This effect was masked in 2018 and 2020 by the lopsided D+(6-8) environment, but once we're having neutral or even GOP-leaning environments again, the Senate will become a bloodbath for Democrats. Without Trump, the RNC might have never realized the true extent of the structural advantages they can tap into.

Your sentence contradicts itself. Putting policy ahead of personality would result in a Biden vote. Trump hasn't advanced a policy his entire time in office except dissolve immigrant families AFAIK.

The American left is now an identitarian movement. It is anti-individualism, where persons are completely subsumed by their respective racial / gender / orientation characteristics. Its a modern day caste system with adherents as devoted to it as any religion. I have some in my own family. It is by far the most dangerous ideology since the second world war.

Additionally, they are willing to give up all their liberties and freedom for the sake of an all-encompassing nanny state. They share the CCP's vision that pervasive mass surveillance of behavior and thought of every citizen is necessary for the sake of public health and political hygiene.
