as far as i'm concerned there is a lot of data out there and all types of experts who debate this on a daily basis. i'm just interested in learning facts, which you provided. so i thank you for that

The same police departments that put down civil rights demonstrators are also the ones that enforced racially targeted drug laws (according to the author of the laws themselves) and still police black neighborhoods today.

Here's an opinion.

It would be a miracle if those same police departments were able to drop the prejudices they were ordered to enforce within one generation.

Those drug laws were passed with widespread support in the black community. The NAACP even supported them. Was that also part of the racist master plan?

The NAACP is capable of making mistakes, and it's very possible for them to support drug laws without realizing the full effects, or realizing how they will be unequally enforced, or realizing there will be greater sentences on some substances because minorities use them.
