I can't do math apparently. 600,000

That would still help my commute considerably...

Most of them are probably too old to be involved in your commute.

3 cases now in maryland, governor called a state of emergency. Yay. Going to be fun avoiding sick people at the hospital.

An internal email from a nurse at the anne arundel medical center.

Quote
“Both cases were returning travelers with potential exposure - after conferring with the MDH, neither met the parameters for COVID-19 testing.

Coronavirus testing can only be done through the approval of public health authorities based on epidemiological risk. Patients testing positive for influenza are not having further testing for COVID-19 per the MDH.

There is no need for healthy employees to wear masks as a matter of course."

U.S. Congress approves, sends to Trump $8.3 billion to fight coronavirus

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - The U.S. Senate on Thursday passed and sent to President Donald Trump an $8.3 billion funding bill to help state and local governments combat the spreading coronavirus, as public health experts outlined efforts to rapidly accelerate testing for the disease.

By a vote of 96-1, the Senate approved legislation that was overwhelmingly passed on Wednesday by the House of Representatives.

Republican Senator Rand Paul, who objected to spending the money without first reducing federal spending elsewhere, was the lone dissenter.

Trump is expected to sign the bill into law so that the billions of dollars can flow toward developing vaccines against the highly contagious coronavirus and aiding international efforts to control transmission.

I would think that $8.3 billion would help... quite a bit.

/e Deficit or death, deficit or death, deficit or death... Oh my!

Rand Paul puts the deficit first. Must be nice to know that you're rich enough to pay for the testing/vaccine/ICU costs out of your own pocket if necessary.
So let's be real here: he prioritized the deficit over some poor people (who are not his friends and family) dying.

He only prioritizes the deficit when it's something that's going to pass regardless. When it comes down to needing him to toe the line, he'll jump right on board.
