You repeat yourself.

The Kavanaugh issue came to be because IF the Dems can control the senate they can change things back to needing 60 votes to setting a supreme court justice.
So...they cheat, and try to delay Kavanaugh appointment till after the Nov elections in the HOPE that they can undo the simple majority for appointing a SC judge that is all that's necessary now.

I really have nothing against democrats, when they play by the rules. If the republicans were breaking the rules like the Dems are, I'd be upset with them too.

Right now, the democratic politicians, disgust me. Hell, even organized crime follows it's own rules.

You do know the republicans held up the supreme court nomination for a year last time right?

And they held it up for Garland, who was, if anything, a Republican friendly pick....

Both parties need to get their act together when it comes to SCOTUS nominees. All nominees, excluding Thomas, should have been confirmed unanimously.

O'Connor (Reagan): 99-0
Scalia (Reagan): 98-0
Bork (Reagan): 42-48 (rejection)
Kennedy (Reagan): 97-0
Thomas (Bush): 52-48 (no filibuster was used)
Souter (Bush): 90-9
Ginsberg (Clinton): 98-0
Breyer (Clinton): 87-9
Roberts (Bush): 78-22
Alito (Bush): 58-42 (John Kerry filibustered, cloture vote was 72-25)
Sotomayor (Obama): 68-31 (9 Republicans voted for her)
Kagan (Obama): 63-37 (5 Republicans voted for, 1 Democrat voted against)
Garland (Obama): No hearing
Gorsuch (Trump): 54-45 (filibuster threatened so nuclear option was used)
Kavanaugh (Trump): Currently a partisan disaster right now

While the Republicans did the unthinkable with Garland, the Democrats have been playing politics with nominees for several decades. Scalia and Ginsberg (who represent the furthest right and left wing judges respectively when you exclude Thomas) were both unanimously confirmed so there's really no reason why all the others (including Garland) shouldn't have been unanimous.

Yeah. But they did it legally. They didn't assassinate anyone's character.

The senate decided not to hear the nomination of a judge being appointed by a president in his last year.
Precedent and legal.
