It sounds like the tolerance crowd gets to pick and choose who is part of their circle.

Tolerance =/= allowing people to convince others an unhealthy lifestyle is healthy

The "fat is beautiful" crowd are doing far more harm to the collective health pool in blood pressure and other obesity issues than they solve with positive body image. Its really an issue of health concerns vs. political correctness rather than actual tolerance IMO.

Shape it how you want. It just sounds like the same exact argument people use to convince others that their lifestyle is immoral. We bash those people though. Seems a bit hypocritical.

...this is never a justification .

The truth is that anti-meaters as a rule place greater moral value on larger animals than smaller ones , cute ones over not so cute ones but to me it's a glaring contradiction to accept the slaughter of rabbits just because it's unintentional . And really now , how unintentional is it in actuality . The farmer , when he fires up the harvester , knows full well what is going to happen . The truth is that the slaughter of smaller mammals is more acceptable than the slaughter of cows and a large part of that is because it goes unseen .

Good point.

However I don't think that the death of an animal should be the only thing in question here when it comes to vegetarianism/veganism. All animals die; it's a part of life and we as humans should not be faulted for obtaining such nutrition any more so than other animals that require a diet that includes meat. However, the level of suffering that we inflict on our food supply SHOULD matter. The conditions that animals are subjected to on large farms are totally unacceptable in most cases. If there is any good moral reason to be vegan, that is it in my opinion.

Morality doesn't clog your heart at age 33.

Spiritual death =/= physical death. Who determines which is more important?

Also, to say that all fat people will die young is a reach. I've known many overweight people die very old. I've known many healthy people die young. Does being overweight increase health risks? Absolutely. But I also think genetics play a big part.

...agreed because it does matter but it can't be totally eliminated . It is always being improved upon but it can never be eliminated if we want to continue to eat meat , poultry and fish ( sea chickens :) )

My personal opinion is that we have anthropomorphised our meat supply to almost absurd levels

You don't have to be a bag of sticks to be healthy. Evolutionary speaking, the best women are kind of round. They are the ones who can bear the most young and survive...ever hear of birthing hips?

As long as you are active and aren't developing symptoms of metabolic syndrome, you are healthy, chubby or not. The girl in the video wasn't terribly out of shape and her health is likely not poor.

My diet is based around personal prejudice. I don't eat animals I like or tend to be friends with. Fish is now included in this as now that I'm friends with a few, I don't want to eat others.

I don't like cows or chickens that much, and they're delicious. I do like goats and sheep, and tend not to eat those. Dogs and cats are off the menu, because I'm friends with them. I grew up loving the Muppets and the idea of eating a frog is horrifying to me. Pigs, not so much...they're kind of assholes.

The problem with giving an inch is they take a mile.

They start calling this shit chubby.

http://i.dailymail.co.uk/i/pix/2012/05/30/article-0-0D58F4B3000005DC-965_468x513.jpg

they weigh 220lbs at 5'3" and call themselves "curvy" etc.

Sure its not too big a deal, but in the modern day with e-dating its really fucking annoying how 9/10 people you try to meet end up being ham planets.

If they don't specify themselves as fit anymore, I don't even message them.

Still though, that person could be very cool and have a lot to offer, even if you don't find her romantically interesting. Some dudes are really into that. Maybe the honesty in advertising bit is poignant, but people always talk themselves up.

Her outfit is the real crime. Sweat pants are for older people than that.

I love a pair of big titties as much as the next guy, i have an issue with entertainers such as Mo'Nique telling me their health is fine and their weight is fine. O really Mo'Nique? You're healthy? You've been claiming you dont need to lose weight for nearly a decade? Why is it you went out and lost 50 lbs? Im sure the Jenny Craig endorsement money was her only motivation... /s
