pretty sure its like social suicide to worship something other than the great leader. i'm not above admitting that western governments brainwash their people like all governments do but certainly some of what i read about north korea is true

Much of juche ideology is based on the buddhist philosophy koreans have followed throughout their history. There is no shame in being a buddhist in the DPRK.

As long as you don't give a religion an interpretation that goes against juche's principles, it isn't "social suicide".

It depends on the interpretation you give to your religion. If being a christian to you means following Christ's teachings about certain moral issues juche is also concerned about, there is nothing wrong with that. If being a christian to you means to believe that whatever the Bible says goes first, then that does go against juche's principles.
