can you be called a Christian? Yes. But Christianity involves the slow process of being transformed into the image of God. I can't judge your heart, but God can judge your intentions. I personally was addicted to porn and masterbation for 7 years. Christians can only serve one master, God. we need to continually allow God to transform us out of sin. Our spiritual side is forgiven of sins but or sinful desires need to slowly be lead out. I can say I got freed from the need of that crap and I'm much better off without it. You don't need to come to Jesus free, but you do need to come with a heart ready to try and change.

why does God punish? He allows temporary punishment to his children to lead themin the right direction. The new Testament sais we know we are Gods children as Christians because he does punish us. He punishes the unrighteousn permanently because he is a God who is completely just and perfect. To bed hours justice to let people sneak by would lower hood holiness. So all people deserve with eternal punishment.

God forgives because he is loving but he can't just forgive willy nilly. Someone needs to take the punishment. Jesus took the punishment so that all could find forgiveness. But people need to accept the gift of throwing their sins on Jesus.

This is a temporary punishment and not a condemning eternal punishment.

God does judge he is the perfect judge. He judges people by their righteousness. The righteousness of Christ is placed onto Christians and seen as their own during this judgement.

I do agree our conscience does condemn non christians and christians alike and God doesn't condemn christians. thoughts of condemnation for christians are not from God. thoughts of conviction are from God.

Very few people hold by the second claim, and even then most of those people are Catholics (not Protestants).
