Special forces are special. You don’t win a war with special forces. You win with tanks and infantry. Not exactly a clean and easy operation.

I never said I prefer anyone slaughtering children.

But I refuse to exist in a make believe world where soldiers have reticules that turn green when a civilian is in their crosshairs.

If Israel was as omnipotent and all powerful as you seem to believe then the 10/7 attacks would never have occurred.

The reality is the Israelis were focused on trying to live civilised lives while Hamas was focused on stockpiling rockets and equipment.
Why was Hamas not focused on improving the lives of Gazans?

Do you actually believe Isrsel carpet bombed Gaza indiscriminately or does that just sound good as part of your argument?

Calling me in favour of slaughtering children because I agree Isrsel has a right to defend itself is pretty cheap.

Spec forces would invade in the dead of night, capture hamas soldiers, and be faced with hundreds of civilians trying to stop them from taking them back to israel. then they'd get criticized for shooting people trying to kill them with rocks from windows.

There is plenty footage of Hamas pickups with dead, dying or captured Israeli citizens being paraded through Gaza city and civilians beating and spitting on them.

100% there are innocent civilians there, and none of them deserve to be caught up in fighting.

But those pretending Hamas acts completely independently of all Palestinians is living in a dream world.

I’ve been traveling the world a lot, been in over 30 countries and it’s always amazing to hear how people look at the IDF as it is something out of this world.. it’s not.
7/10 is horrible and shouldn’t be happening but I’ve been in almost every border our country has and I know what soldiers are doing at the posts.. they are far from being on guard I tell you this..
Discipline is not the same as it was. When I served at Gaza we had 500 m clear zone from the fence. Than it was 300 and than it was 10..

i replied to the moronic "hUmAn ShiELdS" excuse for indiscriminately murdering children, to the idiotic "oUr bULLeTs dOn'T cUrVe" line by pointing out that if you ACTUALLY used "bullets", rather than bombs, shells, and starvation, you'd murder fewer children - because a competent marksman is significantly more precise than a bunker buster.

it's not like you're fighting a total war against a remotely equal opponent. you're trying to eliminate some badly equipped terrorists in a small strip of land that's completely under your control. no tanks, no apcs, no heavy artillery, let alone aircraft. you don't send tanks into tunnel networks, you don't hit individual terrorists by carpet bombing a city, you don't single them out by cutting water and aid to all of gaza.

no one said it's easy, no one expects it to be 100% clean, but there are a LOT of options between that and the current, indiscriminate killing of thousands of innocent people, and you know that very well, you're just afraid to admit it. israel's military and intelligence aren't as dumb and as incompetent as you're trying to suggest by acting this is the best you could do. just excuses of blood-thirsty, vengeful child killers, not more...

Air strikes are more accurate than soldiers shooting everything that moves. Soldiers are humans. they have a survival instinct and families to go back to. If you fail to understand that than I have nothing more to add on this matter.

This is a great point. Why don't they just walk into a 2 million man city-state ruled by your arch enemies who have had a decade to prepare? No tanks, no support aircraft, just have grunts carefully bullseye Hamas militants (I hope they wear uniforms!) right above the toddlers strapped to their chest. Brilliant stuff.

175k military personnel enlisted with 500k in reserves vs 20k? 25k?

the disparity in military power is really not even up for comparison and yet, Israel still chooses to target civilians. the world will look back on this with disgust
