To draw some parallels, in my mind SA fighting the Houthis was like the US fighting the Taliban. Doesn't matter how long you continue to bomb and kill them, the cave-dwelling autist powers are too strong. They just hide and come back and pester with more guerilla tactics. Mostly agree, but would add that in the battle of Iran and SA what hangs in the balance is the ultimate direction of Islam itself. look at the mileage we Christians got out of that motivation for centuries. makes for more long lasting public support than what we had vs goat herders in Afghanistan.

common sense, history, and having served in the military myself tell me that you're deliberately playing down the capabilities of the intelligence service and the armed forced that you israelis are usually so proud of, in order to justify starving and bombing children. try to do better, you're not fooling anyone...

I don't think Palestinians invaded anybody. More like the other way around.


It is very difficult to know the difference in practice, and then you get to truly impossible questions, like how many incidental casualties are worth it for an enemy combatants life. That trade off has happened in every war to date, and always will. From what I've seen, the Israelis are actually doing a pretty decent job. We killed an obscene number of Iraqis, and all for no reason in the end.

- Netanyahu deliberately ignoring reports about attacks before it happened.
- Israeli plan (read far rght gov plan) to displace Palestinians from Gaza to Egypt.
