Then why does every poll on the subject suggest the majority don’t want Brexit

What’s deliverable isn’t desirable. What’s desirable isn’t deliverable.

It's better to deliver the Brexit even during a short time and even while knowing it's bluff, to satisfy the pure brexiters.

BJ is ok for no-deal or does he think he will do better than T.May ?

Meanwhile, the EU parliament has stated its proposals for modifications on the suggestion of the European Commission regarding the temporary reintroduction of border control at internal borders:
http://www.europarl.europa.eu/doceo/document/TA-8-2019-0356_EN.html

Amendment 3:
Quote
"Migration and the crossing of external borders by a large number of third-country nationals should not, per se, be considered to be a threat to public policy or internal security."

... and thus should not per se justify internal border controls.

In other words: the current EU parliament thinks that a complete failure of securing the external border of the Schengen Area does not justify the reintroduction of internal border controls. Which, in turn, implies that they want functionally open borders.

Remember when the member states gave up their own border control as part of the Schengen treaty based on the promise that the external border would be protected? Now that this promise is broken, the EU parliament effectively says "too bad, deal with it".
The premise for the national states giving up sovereignty over their own borders and ceding it to the EU has been broken, and now they have the audacity to refuse to give this sovereignty back to the national states.

i find it hilarious that this idiot parliament itself openly confesses that the criticism and that regard is fully justified and they dont plan to enforce their own laws

a certain user here called me a mindless EU hater for pointing out exactly that and now these people confirm themselves that they dont plan to control anything or anyone WHATSOEVER in the future
they dont even pretend to do so

once more proof that we need our sovereignty back and it proves that the pro brexit argument about border controls was absolutely correct
these corporate puppets want as many illegal migrants as possible to flood europe

6-7 years ago i would have said that this is an ultra right wing conspiracy theory, now this scum in brussels openly admits it for everyone to read

well, we have the choice to stop this or i guess we dont deserve otherwise

2 major polls within a day of the referendum suggested remain was a majority with a significant lead.

a 3rd poll with a much larger sample size determined a majority wanted to leave.

The sample size of the 3rd poll was 33.5 million

I haven't checked whether the polls you've mentioned are genuine, but if so, they're individual polls and don't show a trend. Every single poll for months has shown a remain majority now.

The government have failed in their plans to get a good deal, and as a result they need to put it back to the people to decide whether this is something they want to pursue, even if it means a no deal brexit and subsequent economic chaos. No deal was not even discussed or contemplated by the architects of chaos during the referendum campaign so the framing of no deal as the only 'real' brexit is pure fantasy as is the idea that the government have a mandate to enforce it.

it's almost illogical to expect anything different than dwindling support for leave, although pace could be argued. there are of course some who wanted to leave, that now dont because of the cost becoming more clear and/or the difficulty itself to leave proceduraly. there is of course another group who is seeing a rise in factors that motivate Brexit, immigration concerns etc. But face validity clearly points to new-remainers being a larger group than new-leavers.
