Huge swathes yes, but I don't see most programming as being...programmable (/e: yet. Eventually near everything we currently do will be automated). If that makes sense. Certainly, aspects will be automated and already are automated. But I have huge doubt that we'll see programming jobs die out in my life. If nothing else, we'll need more programmers to program the programs that are doing the programming, until we write programs to write programs to write programs...
Basically by the time we've reached the point where we can automate programming, we're going to be working on way harder programming problems. That's one of the beauties of computers right now...we don't know how deep we can chase it.
