Your chart only goes to early 2018, but you can see from my chart that the resurgence of manufacturing jobs under Trump was very strong from early 2018 to mid-2019. So it is actually your chart which paints a distorted picture because it undersells the gains by cutting off at a convenient timepoint.

Including the Great Recession and holding it against Obama is unfair. Including the immediate catch-up phase after the Great Recession and holding it in favor of Obama is not justified either though.
The most reasonable starting point is probably somewhere around late 2011 or early 2012. And in that case, Obama's growth was outpaced by Trump's, despite Trump having to start with less room to grow and a more mature economic cycle.

It's not like Trump created a job miracle, and his achievement shouldnt be blown out of proportion like he himself and his supporters tend to do, but not giving the economic development under his watch any credit at all isnt fair either.
