meh bullchit. evolution "macro" at one time was claimed to be the elephant in the room for creationists. but the advancement of science a punked that idea. science bad for atheists/anttheists but pose no problems for the creationist.

scripture are ancient historical documents and are evidence.
that you are supernatural is also evidence.
you can say perhaps the evidence isnt convincing but its coocoo to say there is no evidence.

Again: Atheists do not believe the claim that god exists and thats it. I am an atheist as I said and I love science. It was never bad for me.
Also I say it again: There is NO evidence for god, not a single bit. Nothing.

Day 12: The Stone

In the parable of the tenants, the owner of a vineyard leases his property to others and travels abroad. While away, he sends his servants to collect his share of the fruit from the land, but the tenants beat his servants and then kill them. Finally, he sends his son to collect the fruit, reasoning, "They will respect my son" (Mark 12:6). But he is wrong. They kill his son too.

Jesus explained what the parable meant by quoting psalm 118: "Have you not read this Scripture: "This stone that the builders rejected has become the cornerstone; this was the Lord's doing, and it is marvelous in our eyes'?" (Mark 12:10-11, cf. Matthew 21:42). In other words, God is the owner of the vineyard. The tenants are his people. They were supposed to give him the fruit of their lives through worship and obedience. But they rejected his prophets and messengers. Finally, he sent his Son. But they rejected him too. In rebellion, they would not respect or honor him as the Son of God. Instead they killed him.

Yet Jesus was not swept away by a storm of angry and uncontrolled men. His rejection was according to the intentional plan of God -- "the Lord's doing." This is "marvelous in our eyes" because the death of Christ defeated death itself. We rejoice because God picked up Jesus from the grave and made him the cornerstone of salvation for everyone who believes. In him, therefore, we will live and never die (John. 11:25-27).

I dont claim to not make claims, I just dont make any claims I cant prove. Not just on that topic, but overall. I dont do it. Why dont I do it? Because its nonsense. Period.

There is no evidence for "the God of scripture", no matter which one of them you mean. If there was, then there would obviously be no words like "faith" or "believe" connected to religion and god.

Also why do I have to offer an alternative explanation? Because you say so?

If you talk about the beginning of the universe, than I dont claim anything. Why would I if I dont know?
Doesnt mean I have an opinion tho. I would right now go with the current best explanation, which is the big bang theory. It is backed up by several scientific observations, which means is the right thing to go with. But that is neither a claim of any sort, nor does it mean that I believe its true.
This has nothing to do with believe actually, it is just a rational behaviour to go with the idea that currently is backed up by the most evidential observations and thats about it. Does that automatically mean its true? No, of course not.

Sometimes we just have to accept that we dont know very much. We have to work with what we got. We are stuck on this small planet with very limited options to investigate the environments we cant live in, like the deep sea or space, which is the biggest reason for why we dont know as much as we would like to. We slowly learn more, but it takes time, dude. A lot of time.

Dont act as if you know more than everybody else. Doesnt look good, trust me.

atheism is a claim you cant prove, why not switch to some kind of agnostic?

faith is just another word for trust. not sure what you been told about it

if your going to make the atheist claim expect some people are going to want you to rationalize that claim
