The county officials have, for no good reason, decided to keep businesses closed in spite of the state government's green light. I could understand this move if the state government was run by an irresponsible Republican buffoon like Georgia's Brian Kemp, but this is California we're talking about, a deep blue state which has always erred on the side of caution so far and been immaculate in its handling of the pandemic.

I think as long as they can prove they can operate safely they should.

American corporations have a worse track record than India when it comes to that. So whether they are safe or not has to be up to an external body.

We've come a long way. 100+ years ago the government would send the Pinkerton's to make the men work at gun point like they did on the steal industry so much.
