e: im not getting $1200 and im glad there is a threshold so that those who really need relief actually get it. it’s not perfect but with that said ive posted before here it needs to go to people who have had their work displaced due to the irresponsible actions of the communist Chinese government and irresponsible world health organization (who both should be the ones paying for the damages done to the world - unfortunately any said damages, if enforced, would actually be paid for by the good people of China)

Checks won’t do much.

They shoulda looked at w2 and just given monthly income they would have gotten to everyone , that is certainly within the realm of interventions they could have done. I’m sure all of us know at least if someone that has or will be negatively impacted by this in terms of financial/job security. A lot of these jobs won’t be coming back anytime soon, and CNBC states they expect consumer to still be active? Wtf world is this

Seriously doubt that would happen. I think it would take a lot more than a pandemic for that.
That's not to say the Dems might not try to make that happen.

We postponed local elections by 1 year here. In fact it's not a big deal.
