That I exist isnt evidence for God of course. The fact that you twist and bend everything to have it your way is quite funny to be honest :-D

Day 11: The Son

Lent is a season of repentance and humility, a time where we are called to consider our human sin and frailty in light of the splendor and perfection of God our King. Psalm 2 is the first of many so-called "royal Psalms," focusing on God's kingly character. The psalm opens with a question that answers itself, establishing rebellion and the throwing off of God's yoke as the desire of the nations and king who conspire against the true King. The reaction of "He who sits in the heavens" is scornful laughter. highlighting the ridicule of one who will not be mocked.

The reaction is not only derision, but action. The Lord refers to his Son, the real and true king, who will come and accomplish everything that was originally expected from David and his entire lineage. All is his and his reign over all false kings and nations betrays the attitude of rebels as not only foolish, but dangerous. In a jarring and ironic poetic image, the "potter" (Isaiah 45:9) will smash their lives like broken pottery, which becomes trampled underfoot and ultimately insignificant -- trash on the ground.

While this psalm is sobering in its judgment, it also offers great hope. It points forward to the true divine Son who came to be the final and only truly righteous king, the one who obeyed his Father perfectly and broke the yoke of sin to set us free. Because Christ accomplished his mission on earth, he could definitely say: "All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me" (Matthew 28:18). He is the one the scriptures call "the radiance of the glory of God and the exact imprint of his nature, and he upholds the universe by the word of his power." (Hebrews 1:3).

Psalms 2

Why do the nations rage
and the peoples plot in vain?
The kings of the earth set themselves,
and the rulers take counsel together,
against the Lord and against his Anointed, saying,
“Let us burst their bonds apart
and cast away their cords from us.”

He who sits in the heavens laughs;
the Lord holds them in derision.
Then he will speak to them in his wrath,
and terrify them in his fury, saying,
“As for me, I have set my King
on Zion, my holy hill.”

I will tell of the decree:
The Lord said to me, “You are my Son;
today I have begotten you.
Ask of me, and I will make the nations your heritage,
and the ends of the earth your possession.
You shall break them with a rod of iron
and dash them in pieces like a potter's vessel.”

Now therefore, O kings, be wise;
be warned, O rulers of the earth.
Serve the Lord with fear,
and rejoice with trembling.
Kiss the Son,
lest he be angry, and you perish in the way,
for his wrath is quickly kindled.
Blessed are all who take refuge in him.

Isaiah 45:9

“Woe to him who strives with him who formed him,
a pot among earthen pots!
Does the clay say to him who forms it, ‘What are you making?’
or ‘Your work has no handles’?

Matthew 28:18

And Jesus came and said to them, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me.

Hebrews 1:3

He is the radiance of the glory of God and the exact imprint of his nature, and he upholds the universe by the word of his power. After making purification for sins, he sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high,

No one claims that, neither do I.

Its part of a scientific theory, sure. Why not?
A theory is at least based on certain observations.
Might ultimately not be true, thats why its called theory but its reasonable to consider it based on observations.
Science is almost always coming up with theories to come closer to truth. Thats a trial and error method and its been that way since basically forever.

On the other hand there is religion and its claim: There is a god or there are gods, depending on whatever religion you believe in. That is a claim and its a claim without any observations to back it up.

That claim needs evidence. Its pretty simple really. As long as there's no evidence, I have no reason to believe that this claim is true. Same as every other claim ever made. Worthless without evidence.

Of course he admits that he doesnt know, we all know he doesnt know.
No one knows. Only smart people are able to admit that they dont know. Whats so great about that shit?
Most Atheists dont claim anything by the way.
I am an atheist myself and I know many others. There is no claim, dude.

We just refuse to believe a claim without evidence. End of story.
