let's put it in terms you might understand: all the states come together to bake a huge federal pie. new york gives 20 eggs, and kentucky gives 4 eggs. when it comes to eating the pie, however, new york only gets 17 slices, while kentucky gets 7. you see how the ratio has changed? that's 'socialism' - and red states are the ones that benefit from it.

Erroneous analogy. The checkbook analogy was more accurate.
Right now at this time... NY is having problems because they have 43% of their population living in .5% of their land area. It's not the federal govts. job to pay NY for being... STOOOOOPID.

wrong. your checkbook analogy is based on the premise that each stat just had to balance their own budget. that is obviously incorrect. the fact that you don't even understand that is pretty sad, but it at least explains your idiotic takes on this issue.

maybe read some of the sources i compiled for you, so you at least get a basic understanding of what this is about, and why bitch mcconnell's initiative was so mindblowingly stupid.

Trump said 3 years ago... he was gonna cut federal aid to states with sanctuary cities. NY, more or less said FU. Well now they are suffering for that.
If all those illegals in NY WERE paying state taxes like citizens do.... NY wouldn't NEED monetary help. California is in the same boat, with illegals.

/e And I did read your lefty sources. The point is... that New York's problem has nothing to do with those sources. Cuomo is just using that information to sway people into felling sorry for NY.

make sure to remind florida, louisiana, alabama... of that once the next hurricane hits. remind bitch's kentucky next time they want to take more than their 4 slices out of the federal pie. this is EXACTLY what cuomo (who i hate btw, just to be clear on that) said: the red states have NO problem leeching off the productive blue states for decades, but when it comes to helping out in a crisis that disproportionally affects their donors, through no fault of their own, it's suddenly just a state issue.

selfish, hypocritical, short-sighted, and plain stupid - republicans in a nutshell...

I'm surprised it took you so long to come up with the hurricane argument. Again, not comparable. Hurricanes don't get worse w/o social distancing. I feel sure that if a hurricane wipes out NYC, the FED will help.
New York can't social distance properly and that was their choice. There's no reason all those people have to live in each other's back pockets. Back in the 1800's yeah...NY was a port city. The country needed NYC to be a port.

Likewise, no one forced NY to decide to be a sanctuary state either.

just like it is new yorkers' "choice" to live in a densely populated city, that is also the main hub for travel from europe, it's floridians' / alabamans' "choice" to live in a hurricane area. there's no reason for them to live there. how does it feel when your own idiot 'logic' bites you in the ass?

In any case, these loons definitely dont match the requirement stated in the 2nd amendment: "A well regulated militia..."
