again, where do you get the idea that people here are calling "for Israel not to defend itself" or to "negotiate with hamas"? literally no one did that, so why do you claim things like that? just like i never "justified" or even "negated" what hamas did, quite the opposite. read through this thread before telling the same dishonest smears that the apartheid apologists make in order to silence anyone criticising israel. i have condemned those actions repeatedly and unequivocally, called them barbaric and terrorism, have called for hamas to be eliminated repeatedly. you literally couldn't be more wrong about this. so please stop using those dishonest tactics, you can do better than that, and you certainly won't silence me with it either.

israel has overwhelming military and intelligence capabilities. the notion that they simply can't do better than collectively starving, bombing, and displacing hundreds of thousands of innocent people, slaughtering thousands of innocent women, children, and civilians in the process, is absurd.

also, we know for a fact that netanyahu has no intention whatsoever to end the cruel occupation, so again my question: how do you destroy any "credible threat" to israel with that in mind? that's basically just suggesting that israel has to keep killing palestinians until none are left. you can't prevent people from radicalising as long as you imprison, starve, and oppress them... and we ALL know that - but for some reason, half the people here act like if you just killed enough palestinians, something will fundamentally change, and justify the slaughtering of thousands of children by pretending they don't know that's not the solution...

Their aims are public knowledge. Removal of Hamas as a threat. Rescue the hostages that Hamas still refuse to release over 3 weeks later.
I'm asking again for anyone to explain a reasonable alternative. Hamas are firing rockets today and have been for decades.

Ask yourself how many innocent Israelis will die if Hamas is allowed to propagate. Look at Hamas' own charter. The answer is every Israeli will be killed, and not only them but every single Jew.

he wants "hamas destroyed", but without any innocent people in gaza affected at all. can't evacuate them, can't kill 1 on accident even if you kill 20 hamas with the same strike, you can't invade on foot of course because that obviously results in death.

and of course hamas isn't just a group of people, its an idea. if you could thanos snap your fingers today and every single hamas soldier that crossed the border or fired a rocket keeled over and died hamas wouldnt die with it. brothers, sons, and friends of those who died take up the arms.

anyone who claims they want hamas destroyed but without any collateral bloodshed is lying to you, themselves or both. if they were honest they'd say israel shouldnt go after hamas at all, and instead just give all of the land and then some to palestine as its own country. drop the blockade. give them billions in aid. allow thousands work visas. etc. give them everything and the kitchen sink to be successful, and continue to not invade or retaliate even if gaza uses that aid to do even more attacks. because thats what they really want.
