That's surely part of it, but you'd think he'd have even more animosity toward the Russians who inflicted more pain on the Germans and effectively won the war for the good guys.

America has the freedom to be the most powerful country in the world. I hear a lot of sour grapes in the posts about this.

It sounds more like "misery loves company", than any real concern for the people of the US.

I've heard that a lot from the UK and France. What I haven't heard is the fact that the US supplied Russia with the hardware. W/o that, Russia would have been nothing more than cannon fodder.

You can declare anything a right if it is merely an expectation, since you can expect anything. Don't hold your breath for your expectations to be met without enforcement though.

However, if you mean a reasonable expectation, or an agreed upon expectation, or some other qualified expectation then they can be revoked under government, and are non-existent outside of a society.
