Yeah, and having sex with children is also illegal and reprehensible. Good things teachers are mandatory reporters, helping many children out of abusive households.

Still, 40% of teenage pregnancies are due to males above 25....that is a lot of sexual violence against children, and often the family is aware of the relationship and condones it. Education is what combats this, as this phenomenon is worse in lower educated, more rural areas.

But family and religious systems resist. Thank god for schools out there.



They are being told what they are, that they exist, and they shouldn't be oppressed. That is different than saying they're normal. Some of them are in the classes already and they're learning about themselves. Some are just learning not to be pieces of shit to their neighbors. Its okay.

The root of all this is the rejection of the possibility or fear of the possibility that your kid is gay or trans. Then in your own view your child isn't worthy of life. Imagine the cognitive dissonance that causes?
