How about you read the document. How about you do a lot of things. Let's start with this:
Andrew Cuomo had infected patients sent to nursing homes, where they infected other elderly patients who proceeded to die in record numbers. You justified this action. YOU. He also covered up nursing home deaths, which 3 to 5 times the previously reported 3K they'd given. Your excuse was, "Their hospitals were overwhelmed, they needed beds!" And we told you, "But Thor, there's a field hospital that can house them without risking the other elderly nursing home residents. Hell, there's even a navy medical ship that's unused!" Now that Trump's out, and it turns out that Cuomo lied specifically to prevent an investigation by Trump's DOJ, effectively murdering ten to fifteeen thousand nursing home residents and covering it up to prevent consequence, even other NY Dems are demanding an investigation by Biden's DOJ.
You justified his actions. You claimed he did the right thing. Will you admit you were wrong?
Back almost exactly a year ago, the CDC was saying "masks don't help". Folks such as myself said, "That's absurd. It's an airborne virus. It'll help in risk mitigation. Any other claim is absurd." Your claim was that it wasn't airborne, and I didn't know what I was talking about. Can you admit you were wrong?
You've been wrong. Over and over and over and over. You constantly try to justify being wrong about this entire fiasco by claiming, "Well we didn't know." Yes, we did. We knew it was airborne thanks to Taiwan. We knew it was out of China and in the US in January last year. We knew it was too widespread for lockdowns to accomplish anything. We knew encouraging masks would be good months before the first mask mandate was given. You've made excuses, claimed stupid shit, and frankly been the primary source of fake news in all of PaRD regarding Covid.
The first thing a person who isn't a science denier would do, assuming they don't already know, when hearing about something like covid is google, "What is a coronavirus, and how is it spread?" Utilizing this information, they'd find out it's a cold, spread through virtually every form of body fluid and is airborne. They make up 20% of the common cold as well as a few "novel" viruses. The simple fact of knowing what a coronavirus IS should have been the number 1 indicator. Yet you insisted, "This is different, you're WRONG!" Nope. Everything from a year ago, I was right. Now you're trying to insist, "Mask mask mask omg!" Yeah dipshit, we've been masking. For a year. How the fuck did 110 million people get the virus?
Admit, for the first time in your life, that you were wrong. Pick a subject. That Biden would give 2K day 1? That covid's not airborne? That masks won't help because it's not airborne? Choose one subject you've been wrong about, or let's just agree you're a blatant liar. :)
He HAS read the document, and gave a direct quote from it saying that covid is primarily spread through close contact, not airborne particles. You whining "nuh uh, it's airborne" is meaningless unless you can provide a direct quote and context to back it up.
Contracting a virus is different than getting pregnant. Either you are pregnant or not. When you contract a virus, how severely ill you get is directly related to how much you were exposed to. Even if masks are only 60% effective, it's still worth it to wear them as others will have a 60% lower chance of getting I'll in the first place, and it will likely be 60% less severe if you DO get ill. Especially since there is almost no real downside to wearing a mask, that seems pretty obvious that everyone should be wearing one. Will it stop the spread? No, but no one claims it will. But it WILL slow the spread, and reduce the severity of illness for those who do get it.
