Twitter will sue its competitors out of existence. They arent going to give up power without a fight. It has to be forcibly removed at some point.

yeah they probably will. sue them for letting “domestic terrorists” post memes. dont forgot we had a multi-year Congressional investigation because of people shitposting memes on social media

im all in on the "they will use their business acumen to crush competitors and buy anyone who is doing good", but this is a bit too much foil for me.

the truth is that republicans dont want to do the hard work, that being making a new platform. much easier to bitch about the platform they're already on.

if u dont like how something works try to make it yourself, often times you'll find out why that thing u hate is there. i see it all of the time in my business. "why is this here, we hate that", starts a cascade of explanations that they end up accepting because a can of worms isnt worth some small grievance.

Regulating Twitter comes with a lot of drawbacks, but it's a stick that is preferably never used.

Twitter should be able to find the solution on their own, with the threat of regulation there to spur them on. All that's required is more transparency and objectivity with respect to what stays up and what comes down. Shadow suspensions and opaque appeal processes need to go.

IMO the current threat of regulation is akin to a toddler threatening to kick your ass. just cover your crotch and smile as they wail away.

Then you have these retards being happy and cheering because these establishment control information and ban people who ain't following the script aKa anti freedom of speech.
