Neither of you watched the vid I posted. You should watch it and understand that on launch the game sold more than the other 9 games on the list combined and that it's since dropped like a lead balloon. Hence my comment that people found out what this shit game was all about.

Like I said, I found one story about "sales dropping" then I find stories from several weeks later about how the sales have hit historic highs. A quick google shows they've sold 17 million, with only 4 million coming in the first week, so it looks like you're just flat wrong about sales being affected after the first week.

Citation needed cuz I'm guessing you're flat wrong here. The game sold 4M on launch, ranking 1 on the list obviously. The next month it's ranking 7 and you're claiming by then it's sold 17M. Seems impossible eh

I made a mistake. When I googled "the last of us 2 sales" it came up with an article about the first game breaking 17 million sales. I assumed it was talking about the second game.

However, that doesn't really matter. It's the third highest grossing PS exclusive. Regardless of future sales, it's almost certain to have a third game that does pretty well on name brand alone. Most people just don't care about your SJW causes. Most people know gay people at this point, so yelling POLITICSSSSSS isn't going to convince most people.

The first game has had several years into consoles to make those sales. We will have to wait to see what the final numbers for the second game are but the initial sales alone are enough to justify the franchise. From a purely monetary perspective

I disagree, I believe all the negative press and the stalling of sales (if it doesn't pick up anymore) will make continuation of this franchise a risky business. A new game will mean a huge investment and investors want to be be sure they get their investment back and then some.

It's all been a stupid and short sighted move and the one to blame is Neil Cuckman. Naughty Dog should get rid of this dude ASAP
