How have I moved the goalposts? I made a statement. You quoted me as saying something I didn't say and I corrected you by restating my original statement. Do you even know what 'moving the goalposts' means? How have I done that in any fucking way? Another thing you need to admit you;re wrong about and apologise for. How fucking dare you accuse me of intellectual dishonesty.

I mean you can say whatever the fuck you like - it doesn't make it true. I just posted a list of the most popular comedians and they were almost all liberal with a couple who are debatable but certainly not conservative. 'It just makes sense' is not an argument. It's you believing what you want to believe because it's what you feel should be true. That's why i didn't rely on 'common knowledge' even though this is common knowledge and presented you with a way of measuring the popularity of comedians and thereby being able to extrapolate the portion that are liberal. If you have another way of measuring that contradicts these conclusions then feel free to present it. Otherwise man up and admit you were wrong. What you think 'just makes sense' rarely fucking does. You should stop leaning on it and try using logic and deductive reasoning instead.

Dude that list is ridiculous. First off it's still YOUR interpretation as to whether they are liberal or conservative.
Second, it's a list of: "Most Influential Comedians on Twitter", which means diddly. So what if they post a lot on Twitter?

John Cleese is one of the best on there and has zero fans.

I would like to party with you though. :)

Ok - here's another list. This time of the most talked about comedians on social media -
http://fanpagelist.com/category/comedians/view/list/sort/lists/

Look - John Cleese is there. Along with a bunch of other liberals.

I think our brains work fundamentally differently.

See, I see or hear a claim and my thought process is 1) do I doubt that this is a reasonable statement? 2) If yes then how can I best determine it's validity? Then I go and do that thing.
Whereas your thought process is 1) Who said that? 2) If they're more left than me it must be bullshit and nothing can convince me otherwise and if conservative it must be valid and nothing can convince me otherwise.

Conversations with you are pointless because you're just so intensely ideologically driven that you're absolutely incapable of even considering another point of view to the point where you can construct a coherent argument against it. You just reject it outright on the basis that it was said by someone who isn't 'on your side'. If I thought like this I'd still be advocating for the eradication of all religious people and SJWs like the edgy little neckbeard I was 5 years ago. Your thought process leaves no room for changing your opinions on something... and that's not just stupid. It doesn't just make you likely to be wrong on so many subjects. It's also pathetic and a little bit sad. Because you'll never be better than you are now... and right now you're a running joke.

Dude, come on. You can't seriously mean that most great comedians are liberals.

George Carlin, Sarah Silverman, just to name two that definitely aren't liberal.

Quote
Silverman told Maher about the fundraiser she helped put together in Texas that aimed to provide finding to asset women who need to travel 10 hours from their homes to get safe, affordable abortions. While she was there, she confronted protesters from the Westboro Baptist Church, including a 9-year-old girl who was holding a sign that read “Abortion is Bloody Murder.”

“We have to see them as human,” Silverman said, “and hopefully maybe they will see us as human.” When the protesters told her she was going to hell, she replied, “I can’t! I don’t believe in God."

Yeah, DEFINITELY not a liberal.

You claim most comedians are liberal and show me a list and a resorted list that have NOTHING to do with your claim. Your damn right we don't have the same thought processes.

My claim was, once again so that you stop trying to move the goalposts (have you looked up what that means yet?) -

The majority of the most popular comedians are liberal.

Both lists are ways of measuring the popularity of comedians. Firstly by the amount of social media influence they have and secondly by the amount they are talked about on social media.

My claim is that the majority of people who top those lists are liberal. I have stated repeatedly that i am open to other means of measuring the popularity of comedians and challenged you to find a more accurate or even different way that shows that my original claim is incorrect. You have failed to do so... and now you're claiming that two lists that each measure, by different methods, the popularity of comedians 'have NOTHING to do with' discovering who the most popular comedians are and thereby whether the majority are liberal?

Once again I find myself at the point where I'm just flat out flabbergasted that you can't follow the most basic logic. Seriously... how do you not understand how these lists are relevant to the original claim and why do you keep changing the wording of that claim?

Honestly I don't even care any more. Carry on as you will. There is literally no getting through that dense skull of yours.

Well when you link a list of those comedians liberal or conservative leanings, maybe we'll get somewhere.

There is NO logic in a claim of liberalism and a list of... Most Influential Comedians on Twitter. They are totally non related.

Look at my original claim and it's wording. Read what I wrote that you disagreed with. Think about the words 'the most popular comedians' and then try to work out why I would post two lists that each measure the popularity of comedians by different methods in support of that claim. Think real hard. I'm going to bed now but I promise I'll check in tomorrow to see if you've managed to figure it out. Good luck and god speed old man. I believe in you.
