Control of the fishing areas that are ours by territorial rights, would be ours had we not been in the EU, and should be ours when we leave.

Would you as a country then accept having reduced access to international fishing grounds because of it ?

What I usually ask when I see these proposals is: how ?

Our territorial fishing areas are already quite significant as one of the only sizeable islands in Europe, I don't really know how much we'd need outside of that. One thing's for sure though, it means a lot more to the EU to have access to our fishing grounds than it does the UK having access to international fishing grounds.

While we're at it, isolate poorer EU countries that have enjoyed massive sums of money handed to them by the UK through the EU VAT policy

My country will make up for a bit of the budget loss. Richer entities always pay more taxes while overall benefiting from the structure in place.

no! there are no benefits. you pay and they profit. total scam, worst deal in the history of deals. the rich countries are just too stupid to realise it so they are taken advantage of - end of story.
there are no growing markets, there is no exchange of labour and goods that benefits our industries, there is no advantage in producing for and negotiating trade as the most powerful single market in the world, all lies. no need for nuance and details, it's just a plus and a minus. case closed. #nexit

funny you'd say that because i remember that before the referendum, 'unfair' EU regulations on fishing were in fact a very prominent talking point amongst brexiteers like yourself, generating a whole lot of support for the leavers, claiming you'd easily regain full control as soon as you leave.

When you say "like yourself" you mean like kipper nigel right?

He didn't give a shite about fish my son. Never did anything to sway it when he was in a position to do so. It was a convenient stick to throw to the population to rile them up.

While if given a choice, sure, I'd like to see fishing waters reclaimed, thinking that it would sway someone like me that's nowhere near the sea is a bit daft.

Richer countries should be able to benefit from a tariff free market in the EU without having to give far more than what they receive. Why is trading freely with your European neighbours so dependent on being in an ever-closer union with them and giving handouts?

Quite simple my friend. It's called how to conquer Europe in 3 easy steps without ever firing a bullet.

Entice countries into a trade agreement with your undeniably decent manufacturing capabilities.

Make lesser countries swap to your currency, thus tying them to your fate and making them dependant on your handouts.

Invade France with 3 people armed with spudguns. Make European superstate with you as its puppetmaster.
