for once we agree. i really love dogs, they are amazing creatures, but it's irresponsible and shitty to let your dog (small or big) jump at an unsuspecting and potentially scared stranger (child or grown-up). they can't know if the dog's friendly, they might not know how to deal with it. it's basic decency not to let your dogs do that in a public environment.

Nah, they invested too much into crafting Biden's image as this uber-moderate. They still need him as the figurehead for the 2022 midterms, using his identity as a boring old white man to give cover to their quite radical wokeism-fueled agenda, cutting their losses with swing voters. By 2024, they can hope that the economy is humming again and that their voting rights reform and 4 more years of demographic change carry the day for them.
