of course you think it's ridiculous, because you think the system is pretty much fine as is. progressives don't, so it makes sense that they criticise him for refusing to do anything that exceeds token gestures / the bare minimum he thinks he can get away with, while seeking "unity" with people that have never and will never compromise when THEY are in power, that tried to overturn the election he won, and who are currently writing legislation in numerous states to disenfranchise people in order to maintain at least a chance to regain political power.
i mean, he very much is what everyone even remotely interested in politics and living in the real world expected - so any criticism from the left suggesting he's not what was expected is indeed ridiculous, if that's what you mean. that said, just because he's no trump, not blatantly abusing the office to enrich himself and his family, not hilariously incompetent and embarrassing to everyone who doesn't worship him like a god, not common sense and science-defying in his approach to the pandemic and the environment, doesn't mean he's not screwing over the american people on behalf of the establishment. obviously not like braindead right wingers are suggesting (deliberately killing the economy... for some reason, selling america to china... somehow, trying to establish communism...), but by suffocating progressive causes and meaningful change.
I wouldn't agree with that characterization.
I approve of Biden's stimulus bill... particularly the portion aimed at children. That bill passed will do a lot of good. I disagree with the minimum wage portion, which won't be included. I'm in favor of raising it, but not that much.
I gotta be honest, I haven't followed politics that closely lately. But I'm probably in favor of HR1, and probably support most of the things in the immigration bill. I don't support the equality act. I'm cool with an infrastructure bill.
I guess where we disagree most is that you don't think Biden's proposals are progressive... and I think that's a ridiculous position, especially because most of them won't get passed. He's going to end up doing many things that are helpful to the American people, and will get passed by reconciliation, because Republicans won't support much of anything he does.
Anyway, I'm not trying to pretend we agree, I'm more interested in saying that Biden's proposals are substantive, and your disagreements should be more with Republicans(and moderates like me), not him.
