Well, an implicit slogan of Biden's campaign was "make politics boring again". I guess that's at least one kept promise...
Of course the president shouldnt be in the news all the time because of the outlandish stuff he does and says - but his administrative actions should be, particularly during the first few months, which have historically been the most active and productive period of a president's term.
I get that you didn't pay attention pre-Trump, but this is how a normal and functional administration runs.
Also, if you needed evidence that Democrats are willing to compromise, they already took out the $15 minimum wage and increased means testing to appease Manchin and his ilk. If republicans won't come to the table there's no way to compromise with them. Dems have a huge boner for compromisie.
