you know that bernie's campaign has struck a nerve, because the hateful glee is not even the strongest amongst those who would have suffered under his presidency (the donor class, big pharma, oil, the insurance industry, the military industrial complex, billionaires...), but amongst those that support people who desperately need his voters. i guess some people will just never learn (as if the fact they support a terrible establishment candidate wasn't proof enough of that)...
the trump campaign would be smart to further push the totally moronic
'forget about reason, dismiss the logic behind preventing the greater evil - if you're a progressive, you simply don't vote for biden' narrative. while obviously stupid, it might just work because it's america. the country is so divided, and people are so ignorant about substance and policies, they can easily be manipulated into voting against their interest just by mislabeling and fearmongering.
and it looks like there are plenty of democrat establishment shills, who are being useful idiots and pushing that message, mostly because their fragile egos got hurt when progressives pointed out how terrible biden's actual political record is. rather than doing the smart thing, trying to find common ground and making some token concessions, they alienate progressives further. seriously, how stupid do you have to be? it's almost like they WANT trump to win, lol.
