This election is the worse shitshow in my lifetime.

Obama v. McCain wasn't very great but Obama was an unknown and he did better than any modern president except Bill Clinton.

Obama is very much like Reagan though...played a hokey character on television and ruthless behind the scenes.

This election has been pretty tame compared to 2012 and 2016.

Sanders is no longer a viable option.

There has been a lot of peripheral issues that has been distracting the masses attention the past year or so (Epstein, Corona virus, woke/cancel culture, etc). Also, i think the original gut punch of Trump being president of the US has slightly faded. Seems like most people I speak with about politics IRL are rather jaded and apathetic. Sure, i still see zealots on either side but they're few in numbers.

I wonder if it'll heat up in the coming months. I very much agree that 2012 and 2016 especially were much more wild and unconventional.
