you actually got it right. capital "G" God the God of the bible the creator God. lower case "g" god are a dime a dozen many many gods. one could say alcohol was once my god.

(you see "...no other god" is a lower case "g". while the God of the bible is represented with a upper case "G"

There's plenty of that: a god of wrath, jealous, asking for submission... Toxic relationship ? This is old testament and more likely "the jewish god style".
100% sure Evangelists are picking up stuff from here time to time when they want to scare children or simple minded with Hell, Death etc...

the question to ask is if your children were getting diddled by pedos, would you wipe out the ones responsible and their children who would grow up into it according to that logic.

if it does the spirit of that claim is exposed as fraudulent or atleast not perfect or all righteous.

If you are applying euphemisms to God in a form of alcohol, money etc one could also apply with the same logic that the so called God you been worshipping isn't a God but a deified ruler or a general of some kind. A common practice at a time when Romans made Julius Ceaser into a God. The jealousy and many other attributes are akin to a man rather some deity.

You are viewing the bible through a translated and twisted filter of the church. There is obviously other Gods that have existed or made up well before Christianity. Christianity is simply a new kid on the block with no proof other then it's word claims that it is the shiz and the biz. Many authors of the so called bible are a complete mystery. Almost as if it could of been written by anyone. Literally anyone could of been writing their daily news and go off on a rant about God. Who knows which God they were talking about. We have no idea if they are talking about Satan or Zeus. They just say elohim.
