Trump to make state visit to Britain in June

Trump will be only the third U.S. president to have been accorded the honor of a state visit by Queen Elizabeth during her 67-year reign. But the trip, from June 3-5, is likely to be controversial given many Britons deeply dislike the man and reject his policies on issues such as immigration.

Congratulations UK and US.

Well, what is there to report on the UK front?

As predicted, we're doing absolutely nothing with the time given to us by the EU. The Brexit party is polling at close to 30% in the EU elections with Labour just behind, the Conservatives dropping massively to 17% and Change/Lib dem/Green picking up leftovers.

Despite committing to a confirmatory vote on any proposed deal in the Labour party conference last year, the incompetent Eurosceptic Labour leadership are trying to avoid this at all costs. The Labour membership are massively in favour of a confirmatory vote/PV.

No legislative update from the House of Commons either, they aren't even trying to get a deal through anymore.

Hmm. Why such a discrepancy between YouGov and ComRes polls?
I think the Brexit party will do very well in Eu Parliament. They're the only ones with a solid stance on the issue of Brexit. Luckily pro-brexit votes will be heavily divided between them and conservatives but I think pro-brexit people will be more motivated to vote so... Idk. Maybe Labour gets more, maybe Brexit gets more.
Would love to see Labour win a general election... we won't have one for a while though. Things could change drastically before then.
