Oh come on, some of this criticism is ridiculous. Are we seriously gonna criticize Biden for a little bit of overpromising and fibbing after the presidency of Donald fucking Trump? If we were willing to take Trump's words with a pinch of salt, we must afford the same leniency to Biden. For example, he was obviously never gonna send the covid checks on day 1. Also, as we all know by now, there is a delay of over 4 weeks between a covid infection and the time the death is finally registered in the numbers, so blaming Biden for the covid deaths of the past 4 weeks is silly.
Everyone who reads my ramblings here on PaRD knows that I'm not at peace with the fact that Biden defeated Trump and that I'm actively looking for every opportunity to blast Biden. But some of this stuff is outright silly. Biden is a weak president pursuing a fuckton of really shitty policies, like killing the Keystone XL pipeline or rescinding Trump's drug price EO - hence, there is absolutely no reason to make up criticism out of thin air.
This is pretty typical of the American right as a whole. We saw similar things from the right for the entirety of Obama's presidency and Clinton's presidency. They will avoid bad policy that is ripe for criticism from all sides in favor of basically fabricated scandals.
Expect thin criticism on the really bad stuff and a ton of fabricated criticism.
