Funny how a lot of the talk of a flat Earth, anti-vax, and Kim Kardashian dies down during times of real problems. Those topics are the luxury of a bored society.

what you science deniers don't realise is that this virus is just like man made climate change, just significantly sped up, which makes it harder to ignore: it affects the whole world (some regions worse, others less), it comes at a massive cost to the economy, costs countless lives, and still some people pretend like it's not that bad, and that we should not do everything in our power to contain it, thus actively contributing to exacerbate the problem...

What you two dont seem to understand is that one doesnt have to be a climate change denier to reject the way Greta talks about the issue and wants to see it tackled, and to dislike the way she's iconized and instrumentalized.

Yes, climate change is a real problem. But no, world leaders listening to an angry, super privileged 17 year girl saying "i want you to panic" and "you stole my childhood" will not get us any closer to solving this problem.

the fact that right wingers keep obsessing over her like crazy clearly suggests the opposite. listening to climate change deniers / appeasers / apologists is certainly worse than listening to an angry girl. objectively worse.

Climate change is a luxury problem in the sense that it will not affect us right now. Poor countries could never afford to address climate change or reduce emissions when trying to grow their economies. Issues like climate change are indeed on the back burner during a public health crisis with problems facing us right now.

how would you score Trump out of 100 thusfar with his response to Corona generally?

50? 75? 99? curious.

50 personally. I think UK's tactic is going to prove the most effective in the long term.

You should marry her, you could finally have someone your intellectual equal.
