This doesn't explain why for example Florida is counting its ballots very quick, in spite of having huge urban centers. Texas is another big state with big cities that usually gets its votes counted fast. So there has to be something about the election laws passed in these red states that is helpful. This doesn't rule out that Republicans in other states (e.g. Wisconsin) are passing counterproductive, posturing laws, don't get me wrong, but maybe states like New York could take a look at what states like Florida are doing better in this regard. My personal take: after the fucking embarrassment that was the 2000 election in Florida, they made a conscious effort to get their shit together... and it worked.

I'd say I'm surprised but I'm not
Florida was allowed to start counting weeks in advance whereas the other States weren't. The other States weren't because Republican specifically passed laws saying they weren't allowed to
This has been discussed to death for the past 3 years and it's frankly embarrassing you didn't know with how active you are on this forum.
