I finally listened to Glenn Greenwald on JRE, it was interesting how much he shit on media because the reporters are scared of the social media backlash and getting another job
glenn greenwald is an interesing character for sure, with a lot of insider knowledge on the whole media topic. he's somewhat of a regular on 'useful idiots', so if you're looking for more interesting material, maybe give that a listen / view.
tbh, i'm a bit tired of joe rogan atm. to be clear, i like him and think he's a genuinely good guy, even though i obviously don't agree with everything he says. however, his rather asinine and uncritical political takes turned from 'refreshingly open minded' to 'dangerously uninformed', as radical political views (and grifters promoting them) exploded in recent years.
i'm not trying to suggest that he's a right wing hack who purposely doesn't challenge those people, or anything along those lines - i'm just saying that even though he's upfront about not being a journalist, he should take preparing for his guests (basic facts concerning the topics they will likely discuss) more carefully. i think he has a bit of a responsibility in that regard.
