So a slightly thickened plot on that police shooting from a few days ago.
Duncan Socrates Lemp, who was shot to death by police serving a no-knock raid on suspicion of firearm possession offenses, was a politically active libertarian militiaman and data scientist who was aspiring to make a decentralized and uncensored pro-2A / militia forum. His family/lawyers have already claimed that he was asleep in his bed when police opened fire from outside his home into the windows and killed him, while police have given no details or bodycam beyond that "he confronted them". Given those details alone, its very probable that he was targeted with either a red-flag law or trumped up gun possession charge based solely on his pro-2A postings online and talk about his firearms. The circumstances of whether he did anything to make the shooting remotely justified are completely unknown, but its likely that the very reason they were serving the no-knock warrant in the first place was politically charged.

Think about it like this: both Obama and Trump appeal to different segments of the population, and both are good at addressing their respective audience. I don't think Trump voters are as stupid as you believe. It's bizarre that you think Obama's tweet was somehow eloquent or grandiose... it was very simple, and included a basic chart that anyone can understand.

Think about how these tweets get translated. Fox won't cover the dumb one-liner, but if Trump puts out something useful like Obama did, it will get covered by Fox. That translates to old people and others getting informed.

I'd like some evidence either way before I make any assumptions. Though I'd hold a lack of evidence against the police. It would be extremely suspicious if police serving a no-knock raid with weapons drawn didn't have full bodycam footage of the encounter available.
