There's a difference between eloquence/an aesthetic choice of words vs efficiency of messaging. Also, I'm not saying that his messaging is great, I'm saying that it has a place and that its simplicity serves a purpose, whether it appeals to you/Icemage or not.

Trump has provided plenty of really bad/misleading/outright false/self-serving messaging on the coronavirus. On aggregate, he has failed spectacularly on this issue, both policy- and messaging-wise. I've criticied that myself over the last couple of days. There's been tons of really bad tweets to be picked apart. But then the one tweet that Ice picks out to criticize is the most innocuous of them all, and his main gripe is "why isnt Trump as articulate as Obama" - are you guys for real?
