The point is that it's not state enforced.

Worker owned coops are rare because our laws go out of their way to make them difficult.

There are plenty of places even in our current system wher coops thrive. Utilities that are coops consistently deliver better service than private companies.

What's not state enforced?

Wouldn’t that also be a problem in all cities and not just blue cities? Or are republicans passing laws precisely in blue cities?

Republicans are setting statewide election laws in red states that they control handily. inside of those red states however are many blue or purple cities. once you pass a population threshhold even in deeply red states red cities dont really exist. but they dont pass city laws for elections, although there may be some special rules for large urban areas im not aware of.

overall the issue comes from people like Ted fanning the flames of FRAUD that didnt really exist in order to pass silly laws to look like they're doing something to prevent it. those laws slowed down the system bigtime and make a lot of hurdles of voters in places. then they double dip and point to the issues with laws they helped create as more fraud.

For an outside observer american politics seems like a big back and forth of "gotchas" without much substance most of the time. Maybe that’s just amplified by Twitter and social media in general.

check out my home state, they make their own schedule, they scheduled to "work hard" to find election fraud. they outsourced it while doing nothing, and nothing was found. now they scheduled to take off 9 months out of the year, while tweeting how the governor (who doesnt take off 9 months a year) is ruining the state.
