what is a country with really safe schools? maybe just copy what they are doing to protect their kids?
I hear the Middle East is a great place for women to gain a great education.
And it's nearly impossible for one nation to follow the policies of another in nearly anything. Too many fundamental differences in everything from culture to morality to state of armament to building standards.
Now, this shooting stank 36 ways to Sunday, but in a general sense, had the teacher that attempted to shield a student with their own body, getting both themselves and the student killed in the process simply been armed and shot the shooter, they'd currently be being hailed as a hero, rather than someone who made a useless gesture before being mercilessly gunned down.
Uvalde is the case in point of "When seconds count, the cops will delay for hours before some random Border Patrol Agents come and resolve the problem instead of listening to stand down orders." One single teacher being armed and spending a few hours a week training at the range for a relatively fair degree of accuracy? Maybe there'd be fewer dead kids.
You cannot remove guns from society, we know how to make them and the materials necessary to do so are too common to keep people from acquiring. As with swords, knives, bows, and every other weapon used by everyone ever, your best chance to not die from a random crazy person is to be ready, willing, and capable of responding.
