There's nothing cryptic about what I'm saying, because I believe not forcing people to be vaccinated while also restricting services to protect society's health at-large is a just position.

You can't restrict people's access to services just because they are un-vaccinated. This isn't about science. This is about politics. Just because you personally think being vaccinated protects others, it doesn't other people have to agree with you. From their point of view, they are being denied access to quality of life services simply because they refuse to be jabbed in the arm. This is some authoritarian bullshit that only people like you have no problems with.

you are making these things sound absolute, which literally nobody believes they are. it's about reducing risk. you get that, right?

Except you haven't proven that being vaccinated reduces risks. Yes I admit that they do have some uses, however I maintain that these uses do not justify mandating them.

Restricting exactly what services? Like, I can actually see disallowing non-residents from nursing homes unless they're masked up (N95) and wearing gloves and other such specific "services".

Shutting down restaurants, which are private businesses on privately owned property with privately funded services and products "because health" is just authoritarian garbage. The government doesn't own that private property. The government doesn't own that business. The government doesn't own the people who own or work in that business, or their customers. Government attempting to dictate to businesses as though they own them is simply Fascism. :)

I can't believe a simple post could make you so butt-hurt.

Calm down.

We can restrict services by vaccination, and we already do so. Healthcare workers have to have certain vaccinations, the same for military service members, and children also have to have certain vaccines to attend public school.

It isn't something entirely new.

you are doing the same thing msnbc and cnn do in their reporting

Mandates are absolute. I'm responding to absolutism with absolutism. I'm 100% in support of vaccine usage. I'm 100% in support of bodily autonomy. I'm 100% in opposition to tyrannical mandates.

tbh, if you are coming from that exact angle, i can't disagree. but it doesn't always sound like you are "100% in support of vaccine usage"

Sir, while I do agree with you completely, I do wish to point out that at least in my country, our government HAS been telling private businesses what to do. For example, a while a go, there was no in-door dining across the province. I believe no religious gatherings either. People could not have private parties in their home or backyard that exceeded a certain number of people..etc etc. And the people just laid down and took it.

Its like I said though, they won't try and mandate the vaccines, but they will do the best they can to make life hell for the un-vaccinated, to the point where they will surrender and voluntarily walk into a jab clinic.

My understanding is that the unvaccinated still have access to restaurants, but are precluded from indoor seating. I'm not sure how or why that's a major concern, as if I felt compelled to not be vaccinated I would simply continue to enjoy outdoor seating and/or to-go orders/delivery.
