IF he dips back down he will start to require oxygen that he won’t be able to hide. To give a little context it sounds like the most oxygen he required was 2L worth which is given via a small nasal cannula. When people decompensate at 7 day mark that’s the population that requires hospitalization because they start to require 50-60L of oxygen, or intubation, which can only be delivered with certain devices. Early Remdesivir drastically decreases odds of decompensation, so statistically he should be fine from here on out.

What are the side effects of Remdesivir? If it reduces the odds of a bad course of the disease so drastically, why doesnt every covid patient (say above a certain age threshold) take it?
